Andre and Tracey deWaal have run Andre's since 1998. The restaurant sits on a lake in Sparta, with dining on two floors and covered and lakeside patios. Chef Andre deWaal changes the menu about every two weeks: the one that started October 22, 2026 runs from beef tataki "steak and eggs" and shrimp and pork meatballs in ginger broth to Arctic char with miso glaze, duck with roasted breast, confit leg, prosciutto and sage, and a four-course prix fixe. Wednesdays are casual nights with their own menu.
Andre's is BYO, with Alba Vineyard wines from Milford, in Warren County, on its list for anyone who doesn't bring a bottle. The menu says it uses local farms but names none. In 2022 the restaurant hosted a charity dinner for Ben's Friends, a support group for restaurant workers in recovery (Edible Jersey).
