Privacy
We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and the page you signed up from. We keep a copy and pass it to our newsletter provider so we can send you the newsletter.
- Suggestions: what you tell us about a place or event, plus your name and email if you choose to give them — only so we can follow up.
- Spam protection: when you submit a form we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to stop repeated spam. We don't store the address itself.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they find useful. It sets cookies and collects standard information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser. We don't use it to show you ads. You can opt out with Google'sbrowser add-on or by blocking cookies.
Where it's kept
Submissions are stored in our own database on Cloudflare's infrastructure in the United States. Newsletter addresses are also held by our email newsletter provider, whose own privacy policy applies to the emails they send.
What we never do
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with businesses we write about.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. To have anything you've sent us deleted, emailexplore@skylandsfood.com and we'll remove it.
