Three generations of the Brodheckers have farmed in Sussex County since 1969, working their own 160 acres plus about 300 more, with solar panels on two barns covering the farm's electricity. They raise beef, pork, lamb and broiler chickens on feed they mix on the farm from locally grown grain. Beef cuts and ground beef patties are in the freezer daily, with quarters of beef and sides of pork by reservation. The farm store is also a full farm-supply shop, selling feed, fencing, equipment and sheds, and the fields open for pick-your-own apples, pumpkins and sunflowers in season.
