Butcher & Farmer is a newer butcher shop and market eatery on Morristown Road in Bernardsville. The case carries grass-fed, Prime and Wagyu beef, pastured pork and organic chicken, turkey and lamb, and the butchers do dry-aging, whole-animal butchery and custom cuts. All the sausages are made in the shop from scratch: breakfast, sweet and spicy Italian, chicken and lamb merguez. Shelves hold Italian staples like artisan pasta, olive oil, canned tomatoes and fresh bread. The eatery side cooks smash burgers of organic grass-fed beef on brioche baked in house daily, grilled chicken sandwiches and salads, with organic fries cut by hand and fried in house-made tallow, and rotisserie chicken with seasonal sides on Saturdays.
