The Theobald family bought this 365-acre Vernon farm in 1961 and raised beef cattle into the late 1970s. In 1982 Martin Theobald set up a roadside tent to sell the produce he grew, and the business grew into Heaven Hill Farm, with a barn market, a bakery and four greenhouses. The bakery turns out fresh cider donuts, pies (apple, caramel apple walnut, Dutch apple, seasonal pumpkin, blueberry, cherry, very berry, strawberry rhubarb, coconut custard and no-sugar apple and blueberry), tea breads, danish, strudel sticks, muffins and cookies, and the market scoops homemade ice cream and Italian ices.
