Anthony V. Lentini Jr. started out selling watermelon beside Route 206 in 1971, bought a tractor and began wholesaling sweet corn, and with his wife Heidi founded Lentini Farms in 1981. The family now farms over 1,000 acres of produce and grain corn, sells through three full-service and three self-serve farm stands, and supplies supermarkets, restaurants and wholesale markets in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania as a GAP-certified grower. Tomatoes and sweet corn picked daily are the farm's best-known crops, along with peppers, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, cabbage, cauliflower, watermelon and pumpkins.
