George Amer Marshall founded the market in 1920, and George W. Marshall ran the farm for many years; today the third generation, Marianne Marshall Saponaro and her husband Nick Saponaro, are on site daily. The farm grows its own seasonal produce, with tomatoes and sweet corn in summer and apples and pumpkins in fall, and the market makes pies and country peanut butter. The country store adds smoked meats and cheeses, jams, condiments and gifts, and in October the farm sets up its Halloween Hollow display with hayrides.
