The Perrotti family's butcher business began in Cranford in 1967, opened by Italian immigrants Mario and David Perrotti. Mario Jr. brought it to Somerset County in 2008 with a shop in Far Hills, then opened in Basking Ridge, which he runs with his brother Michael. The butcher case carries Choice and Prime steaks (strip, ribeye, porterhouse, filet), short ribs, grass-fed or grain-fed ground beef, pork chops, tenderloin and ribs, and fresh Bell & Evans chicken every day; cuts not on the list can be prepared on request. The other half of the shop is prepared food: meals made from scratch with family recipes, plus catering.
