John Peterson Sr. and his wife Esther bought the farm in 1955 and ran it as a dairy until the mid-1960s; Esther preserved the land in 1991. Today John, Matt and fourth-generation Jake Peterson run it, growing Christmas trees, hay, grain and sweet corn, with apple and peach orchards Jake has added in recent years. The CSA stands out for its fruit share of strawberries, peaches and apples, and the family hand-makes wreaths and white pine roping through December.
