Philip Rapp founded the farm on 40 acres in 1806, and the family has worked it ever since. Today Marc and Holly Phillips farm 300 acres with their children Megan, Jason and Jason's wife Chrissy, growing apples, Asian pears, stone fruit, berries, vegetables, flowers and nursery plants. They make their own compost, use drip irrigation and integrated pest management, and keep over 75% of their land in farmland preservation. The farm market on Route 519 sells their produce alongside their own jams, salsas and fresh bread, and the family also sells at about a dozen farmers markets in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
