The Stockton Inn reopened in September 2024 after years empty and a full renovation, with nine guest rooms and one seasonal menu served in three rooms: a firelit tavern, a glassed-in marble dining room with a wood-fire hearth, and a stone terrace by a waterfall that stays open year round. Executive Chef Bob Truitt, formerly with Michael White and Stephen Starr, writes a modern American menu with Italian leanings, from short rib agnolotti to grilled branzino, and the cocktail list is by Brian Miller of Death & Co. and Pegu Club. NJ Monthly gave it 3.5 of 4 stars in October 2025 and named it to its 50 Best Restaurants list for 2026; it holds a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

The inn says its menus celebrate New Jersey and Pennsylvania makers. The bread is sourdough from Stockton Market, the inn's own bakery, café and shop a few steps away, which also makes the carrot cake on the dessert list and stocks pantry goods sourced mostly from producers within 100 miles.
