Dale and Carol Davis started Stony Hill Gardens in 1988 growing cut orchids, and the family business now farms about 500 acres, including 20 acres of peach, pear, apricot, plum, pluot and apple trees. The farm is NJDA certified organic and is run by the Davises with their children Dale IV, Brandt and Kaitlyn. Its farm market on North Road bakes pies, muffins, bread, cookies and donuts daily, alongside its own fruit and vegetables. Rebel Sheep Wine Co., on the same property, calls itself Morris County's first farm winery and makes fruit wines and ciders from excess market fruit.
