Umrit is a family farm on Millstone River Road, inside the Millstone Valley Agricultural District, grown naturally with no-till beds, hügelkultur mounds and compost. Its focus is vegetables and greens from Indian and South Asian kitchens: spiny gourd (kantola), ivy gourd (tindora), bitter melon, papdi and valor beans, long and short cow peas, taro (patra) leaves, fresh turmeric leaves, Malabar spinach, amaranth and lambsquarters. It also grows heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, butternut squash, pawpaw, and khorasan wheat sold whole or cracked. The website posts what is available that day, priced by weight.
