Cabbage Throw Farm was founded in 2018 by Dean and Emily Buttacavoli in partnership with Mark Canright of Comeback Farm, son of the organic pioneer known as Farmer John. They farm 5 certified organic acres on two rented properties in the Musconetcong River Valley, using minimal shallow tillage to protect the soil. The CSA works like a prepaid loyalty card spent on whatever produce members want at the farm store and markets. The farm store, inside the Kash Valley Farm barn, sells their produce alongside local grocery items.
