Dan Lyness, a Delaware Valley University dairy science graduate, started Spring Run Dairy in 2013 on the 123 preserved acres his grandparents bought in the 1980s, and added a milk processing and bottling plant in 2020. He runs it with his partner Sarah and the help of his parents. The registered Jersey and Holstein herd eats a GMO-free diet of corn and soybeans grown on the farm, and the milk is vat-pasteurized at low temperature and left non-homogenized, so the cream rises.
