Noel and Elena Galfo started growing vegetables on the Weldon Road farm in 1952; their son Gregory and his wife Patricia took it over in 1995, and in 2016 Gregory's son Tom, "Farmer Tom", expanded it as The Feisty Pepper with co-owner Hazel. The farm grows densely planted, closely spaced beds tended by hand and a mini tractor, using little to no chemicals or fertilizer. The barn store sells the farm's produce alongside other farms' fruit and vegetables and a range of local foods.
