The Van Nuys family has farmed in Hillsborough since 1867. The business began as a self-serve wagon in 2000, became a market in 2014, and moved into its current building in 2017 for the farm's 150th year. Tomatoes including heirlooms, sweet corn, peppers, eggplant, squash, greens, potatoes, onions and garlic come from the farm's own fields. The kitchen bakes more than a dozen kinds of pie, breads from baguettes to asiago, crumb cake, cookies and cider donuts, and the market makes its own ice cream in small batches by hand. Meat, dairy, cheese and pantry goods come from other local producers.
