George Rude began raising a handful of quail in Griggstown in 1975; the farm now covers about 65 preserved acres and raises chickens, turkeys, ducks, pheasant and quail without growth hormones or antibiotics, processing them in its own USDA plant. The farm market opened in 2002 and added a USDA kitchen in 2004. Today it sells fresh and frozen poultry and game, quail eggs and produce from the farm, plus chicken, turkey, beef and vegetarian pot pies, shepherd's pie, poultry sausages, soups, chili, sauces and fruit pies, all made in the farm kitchen.
